You are scared right now. I know, because I have been there.
You are afraid of the unknown. You do not know if tomorrow will be better or worse than today.
It is not easy telling yourself it is going to be okay. It never was.
Allow me ask you something.
What if this was your last day, and this moment was your last moment? What if your eyes never again opened after you’ve shut them tonight? What if?
It is possible.
But it is also possible to not let that thought be your being. You are much more than your worst fears and pains. Your body does not last forever. You and I both know that. Why drag yourself down when you can look to the sky with acceptance, and turn your gaze to the beauty around you this very moment?
This moment is all you have. It’s all we have. Let us cherish it.
When you think about it, how many people go through life without ever sniffing a fraction of its beauty? You have come this far already, just look.
No, do not regret.
Sadness is fine, but feeling sad about what was always meant to be, and what has always been…
Well, that is just meaningless. Your life is not meaningless. Far from it.
You can only grasp at how important you are. Everything you feel is not confined to you forever.
You are at a low right now, and that is okay.
But just know that hope is like a passionate lover. It comes to you every morning to cheer you up no matter how many times you have shunned it. It will always come, and when you are ready to welcome it, it will happily fall into your embrace.
It can start this very moment.
If you are ready.
You are ready.
Let a smile begin to take shape on your face. A smile is not something you can ever run out of. Ever.
Just remember.
This is but a ride, and a pretty interesting one at that.
Until next time.
Your friend,
-Tie
